My work email is and Earthlink email address (gate.net). I was receiving emails until yesterday. Today, there are a couple. I am not understanding the ryhym or reason this is happening. I go to my Eudora on my Windows computer and there are emails that are there that should have been in my Entourage mail, but are not. I am also hearing a thunk sound. Like something is being rejected from Entourage. It does not happen when Entourage is sending and receiving. I would love to hear some feedback and hopefully a solution to this fustrating problem.

Thank you in advance.

Send & Receive problems are the hardest to track down because it involves so
many different individual settings.

Since your mail had been working let's eliminate one possible cause. Did you
just install the Safari 4 beta? If yes, then use the uninstaller and revert
to the old version. Directions to remove are in this article:

If this is not the problem, then.....

Open Entourage preferences under Entourage in the Menu bar. Click on
Notifications. You'll see the Sounds with an icon by each. Click on the one
for No mail sound and see if it's the thunk sound you are hearing. If not,
check the Mail error sound. Let us know which sound you are hearing. This
will indicate the area that is the problem.

Let me know what you find.
