Missing file from CD

T

Tony

I tried reinstalling Office because it was not working with other programs
(the programs could not find it), so first I try detect and repair, but it
does not work. I then proceed to reinstall it, only to find that I am missing
a file, ZF561407.cab. I have found the file online, but I do not know where
to put it. Does anyone have an idea of what I should do?

Where can I find this file?!?!?! What I did with the other error messages was
create a subfolder in my download file. If you don't have one. You can create
one on another drive. In my subfolder: dl-hell, I copied all of the .cab
files from my Office disc. For some reason when promted for the cab files
they can'y be seen when onthe disc.(?) Of course ZF561407.cab is nowhere to
be found anywhere. When I get the version, I will copy to the
Downloads/dl-hell folder.

Why isn't MS addressing this issue?

A response to just a portion of your query, Tony, and I'm afraid not helpful
in resolving the CAB file problem, which I have also. Ask yourself: "What
incentive does MS have for addressing this problem?"
