missing fonts in office 2003

Did anyone else have problems with the Fonts in 2003? I can see the
fonts in my windows/fonts folder but in Word itself, it defaults to
Times New Roman, however on the dropdown all I can see is Device Font
10cpi, 12cpi and 17cpi. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Thanks!

Oh wow. You're a genius heh. For some reason my default printer was
set to a receipt printer that I connected to once in work. I switched
it back to the MSFT Office Document Image Writer and now it works.
Thanks!

Why is it like that though?

I could probably come up with some BS answer but the truth is I don't know.
Learned about that the hard way a couple of years ago. ;-)

Because Fonts work with Printers and that is why many printers come with software programs that include additional fonts, like my old Epson Printer that gave me about 500 fonts that I copied and still use to som extent even though that printer came with a computer with Windows 95.
