missing HTML

Please have a look at this page: http://nestbox.com/bbphotos.htm. Then
please look at Source. There is a bunch of missing HTML that is keeping the
photos from showing up. The HTML is there in Front Page but when I upload
the files to the server, it magically disappears. What gives!!??

.
By-the-way. The page looks great in NN7, Opera 7.11,
Mozilla Firefox 1.0 and Internet Explorer

I've cleaned both cookies and temp Internet files over and over. Still get
the same five photos showing up with all of the other spaces blank. When I
look at the source for all the missing photos the <"img src......"> lines
are missing. Can you see those too? Why would this happen?

I'm glad to know you can see the photos but why can't I?

I have no problem with the page - very nice.

Are you running Norton or MacAfee security, or some other ad-blocker? This
may be "objecting" to the image file or folder names, or even the image
sizes, and "protecting" you by removing the code.

Yes, I'm running Norton Internet Security. I've tried turning it off but
apparently hitting the "refresh" icon is not enough (which is what I was
doing). I had to actually access the page from another link on my site and
voila! the photos showed up. I tried this on my second desktop--turned off
NIS for 5 minutes, hit the refresh icon (no fix), then went to an actual
link on my site that referred to this page and all of the photos as well as
source code show up. Now, why this is happening I'll never understand, but
at least it works. I have many other pages with photos that I've uploaded
photos to (as recently as last night) and there is no viewing problem with
them. Very strange indeed.

Thanks for the suggestion and thanks to everyone who tried to help me out!

When you looked the other day I may have been working on the page, thus the
broken links. I've tried everything I can think of, re-creating the page
under a different file name, remaking the thumbnails, etc. Nothing works.
What I really don't understand is how the Source code is getting changed. It
looks fine in Front Page, in the Preview mode in FP and then when I upload
it to my website and check the source online, the <img src...> lines are
missing. This morning I finally solved the problem -- see note below.

Thanks,
Cate

wrote in message They are all showing up here too..both thumbs and large images.

However, the other day you had posted something and when I looked at that
page I noticed that some some pix had broken links to the large
images....some pix were in /galleries folder and some were in the root ...
can't remember if those were the broken links or not.

I think it may have been the blue bird page.

That's your problem. Norton blocks images it thinks are ads by actually
removing the code from the page.
