missing msgr??32.dll

My spell checker is only working partially, returning the wrong word count,
etc.:

An error message reads,
"Word cannot find the grammar file msgr??32.dll for ."

This is followed by,
"Word cannot find the spelling file MSSpell3.dll or mssp232.dll for ."

What is the best way to restore these files into the correct location? I
tried the Office repair function from the original CD without success.

You might get this error message if your text is formatted as a
language for which you do not have proofing tools installed. Try
this: Open a document where this problem occurs, press Ctrl+A to
select all of the text, click on Tools | Language | Set Language
| <choose your language> | uncheck the "Detect language
automatically" and "Do not check spelling or grammar" boxes |
Default | OK. Then press F7 to rerun spelling and grammar
checks, and save the document.

April 2021: I did this for my Word 2000 running under Windows 10 and it worked perfectly. Many thanks.
