Missing MSP files on new HD

I've just recently had a hard disk failure, and just
before my HD died I used Seagate DiskWizard to install a
new HD and copy all the files from old to new HD. This
appeared to be totally successful until I run any Office
2003 XP Pro application. Running any Office application
will attempt a new installation, but this installation
will fail because it cannot find the installation patch
files. Uninstallation will also fail for the same reason
so I can't even attempt a new fresh installation.
Any advice will be gratefully received.
