missing msvcr80.dll

I just validated my trial version of Hone and Student 2007 that cam with my
new laptop. Now when trying to load Powerpoint 2007, I get the following
error message; The application failed to start because MSVCR80.DLL was not
found. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.
When searching the computer I find the file located at
C:\WORKSSETUP\OFFHST07 TRIAL
How can I fix this without reinstalling Office?
Thanks for the help.

Try running Office Diagnostics. You can get to it from any other
application. For example, open Word and go to Office Button | Word Options |
Resources.

It's also in the Add/Remove Programs area of the Windows Control Panel.
Click on MS Office and then click "Change" and choose Repair.

I tried that, didn't work. I guess I need to uninstall and start over.
