Missing STDRET.msi

A week ago, was informed there were MicroSoft updates ready to download.
Clicked on button to download updates. It came back saying it could not
download the updates which was service pack 3 (already had been downloaded).
After that, whenever try to access Excel, get dialog box stating "The feature
you are trying to use is on a CD-ROM or other removable disk that is not
available. Inser the 'Microsoft Office XP Standard' disk and clist OK." The
file it is looking for is STDRET.msi. I can't find the disk and I can't find
a download for this file. Can get Excel to come up under Safe Mode. Is
there a way to get this file from somewhere. Have been running with Office
XP since October 2004 and haven't had any issues accessing Excel til now.
Running with the following:

OS Name Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition
Version 5.1.2600 Service Pack 3 Build 2600
