Missing text & images

I have recently received several powerpoint presentation where the sildes are
blank even though ther had content when created on a the creators PC. They
appear as new slide with empty text boxes. Any ideas what is going on.

If you are using PowerPoint 2003 the problem is that you haven't applied current
updates, specifically Service Pack 1. Go to Help > Check for Updates and follow
the links.
