Hi,
A few of my team of noticed that when we receive forwarded messages from
colleagues, the message added by the sender at the beginning of the forwarded
message is missing in Outlook. I should clarify that the only reason that we
found this out was because we also use an IMHO Webmail application to access
out mail whenout of the office, and the whole message is intact there.
e.g. Webmail:
Dear Sam,
Please can you discuss the attached with Susan.
Cheers,
Bob
Dear Bob,
Blah
e.g. Outlook:
Dear Bob,
Blah
I thought it might be an HTML thing, but using 'View Source' still doesn't
reveal any of the additional message from the sender. Is it possible that
Outlook has cropped this bit of the message for security reasons? i.e. The
sender's e-mail application has allowed them to type plain text at the
beginning of an HTML message, and outlook has cropped everyting between the
<html> tags?
This is driving us nuts at the moment, as we're having to check all
forwarded messages through our Webmail App just to check that we're not
missing anything vital.
Any help gratfefully appreciated,
Sam
