missing text in text box

I have an unusual problem.
Created in Word 97, Windows NT, the page I am trying to print from a computer using Word 2002, Windows XP is viewable on the screen but not in Print Preview OR on paper. It has both text and images on it and the TEXT is the missing box
If the image was a rendering and not a photo (jpg) it also does not appear
Any ideas? Thanks so much.

Have you checked "Drawing objects" on the Print tab of Tools | Options? This
covers everything in the drawing layer, which includes text boxes, WordArt,
AutoShapes, and wrapped graphics but not inline graphics.
