Missing Timesheet Report for PWA - My Tasks view

T

Trivikram

Hi...

Is there a way to trace the resources who have missed to submit the
timesheets either in PWA / an SQL report / an custom report developed by some
developer.

Also is there a way wherein we can ensure that a minimum hours (say 8.5 hrs
/ day) are logged by resource without which he/she will not be able to submit
the timesheet.

Thanks in advance,
Trivikram.

Hi again :)

You can use the data anaylser to check which timesheet has been submitted,
approved, rejected etc. You will need to use the timesheet cube which
profides you with this information. Also if you download the report pack
within the Proejct Server SDK there are some timesheet reports which are
based on the reporting DB. This could help you too.

In regards to ensure that your user enteres 8.5 hours every day, well there
is nothing out of the box, but can certainly be custom developed. My question
would be why? There may be a good reason why a resource only entered 6 hours
simply because he only worked 6 hours. Anyway, if you require this funciton
you can custom develop it
Hope this helps

Hi Marc, Thanks for the reply.

The reason for a resource to submit 8.5 hrs/day is... when a resource
attends office/site he should be working 8.5 hrs/day whether its productive
(working for some projects) or unproductive (misc / admin / leave /
vacation). Could you suggest a way to accomplish this.

Thanks,
Trivikram.

Hi Trivikram,

your requirements outline that you will need to use the timesheet
functionality of Project Server, since that allows you to capture project and
non project time.
Based on the timesheet, Project Server provides 3 timsheet cubes plus all
the the information in the Project Server REporting DB. Togehther with this I
am sure you are able to get all the reporting that you are after
Hope this helps
