Missing xml driver in Access

I reinstalled Access 3 times but it still doesn't have the ability to import
from an xml file. Where is the driver please? I tried re-registering
msxml.dll, but that didn't work.

(This is a re-post of a question I sent 5/7, but there was no response.)

Thank you for the earlier help with text and excel drivers.

Different versions of Access have different capabilities in this regard.
What version and service pack Access are you using, and what happens
when you try to import data from an xml file? Can you export data from
Access to xml? If so, can you re-import it?

I have made some progress and am now able to get the file to open, but the
data is not coming in. It just lists one record with two fields rather than
reading all the data in the xml file. I am running Access 2003 SP2. Can you
suggest a location for some xml examples?

I don't have much experience with XML, so I'd start with the Access 2003
help topic "About XML data and Access".

It's important to remember that Access can only handle a subset of XML
files; as the help topic says, you may need to use XSLT to transform the
data into a shape Access can manage.

yeah XSLT is nice

but I still think that MS should make the 'import XML' funcitionality a lot
stronger
