I will often manually disconnect the modem by right clicking on the icon on the task bar and then minimize Outlook when I finish my current work. Recently it has begun to reconnect spontaneously even though I don't have the Options box checked to automatically check for messages. It doesn't seem to do it unless Outlook is open or minimized. Can't find anything in the knowledge base about this. Any ideas? Thanks, Sue
