If this is a retail version, you haven't activated it. If it is a trial
version, it has expired.

If you have not activated it, then perhaps you have used up the number of
times you can use it without activation. See "Frequently asked questions
about the Office Activation Wizard and reduced-functionality mode in Office
2003" at http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=827291 (generally applicable to
Office 2007 as well).

Hey thanks for your help! I would like one more helpful hint plz. What is the
phone number for some help over the phone so i can ask the person exactly
whats happening because i have tryed to reinstall it and its not working and
everything i try to do doesnt work, so if you can just get me the number for
some help that would be GREAT!!!

If it hasn't been activated, you don't need to reinstall it, just activate
it, and reinstalling won't help in the slightest. If online activation
doesn't work, you should be provided with a phone number as part of the
process.

For other support options, see http://support.microsoft.com/

Hey! I'm having the exact same problem, but when I go to "Word Options" and
activate, nothing happens...?! How do i activate online?

I am having the same problem when trying to add a drop down list. I get the
same message. It is not a trial version and it is activated, which I have
confirmed by clicking on the Activate button under Word Options>Resources. It
just tells it is already activated.

How is this the same problem? Please explain exactly what you are
experiencing because it sounds totally different.

If this is a form and it is protected, then you'll need to unprotect it to
add the list.
