Modifications in Project web Access 2003 and windows sharepoint sites

Our organization has been using Project server 2003 for a while. We
are using it along with Windows Sharepoint Services.
1. I would like to know if we could modify the look of the Project web
access 2003 site e.g. adding a different logo or changing colors, etc.

2. WSS sites can be modified, however according to what I understand
each subsite has to be modified separately. Is that correct or is
there a template which can be modified and then all the subsites would
get modified according to the template.

3. Would the changes made to WSS sites and/or PWA site get affected if
Microsoft releases a new version, new patch or a fix for something
related to PWA or WSS. i.e. if a WSS site was modified to have
different color, or logo or new items added on the home page and we
download a fix related to WSS. Would this fix overrride the changes we
have made and make the subsite look like the earlier default site of
WSS.

Thanks in advance.

no answer here but I'm wondering if you've found another source of information?

I am looking for a very similar solution. I need to be able to build my own site template and then setup the server to use my custom template to create project sites.

I have not found answers to all the questions, however I know this
that you can use a modified template which the server would use to
create default sites. I would like to make one thing clear this is for
the project sites created in Windows Sharepoint sites.

WSS creates sites using the default setting that are built in. The
best way to create a theme that can be used for all sites and subsites
created would be to modify the default css files. These files are
stored usually in the following location. C:\Program Files\Common
Files\Microsoft Shared\web server
extensions\60\TEMPLATE\LAYOUTS\1033\STYLES

The Main file you would need to edit is OWS.CSS Along with that some
aspx pages also need to be modified. If you use Front Page 2003 you
can edit the default pages and the CSS pages easily.
Hope this helps
