Modify Address book item properties dialog

Looking for a way to modify the Address book properties dialog...

If you type into the To: line, an email or name, and it gets recognized by
Outlook, you can right click and choose properties to see all the available
details of that record (all the fields come from an Active Directory Lookup)

I have a Customer who would like to see additional fields on that properties
screen. Particularly, they are extending their schema with new fields
and would
like to see those new fields on that address book properies dialog...

I'm of the opinion that without the source code for outlook that theres
no way
to alter the props dialog...

Can anyone prove me wrong?

Is there an alternate solution that I should be looking into?

Hi,
You can add new fields and additional information by clicking the "ALL
FIELDS" tap
on the properties screen. Choose the catagory for the new information under
"SELECT FROM" , click the NEW button, name the new field and enter the
information.

Hi,
Unfortunately there is no attachement for me to see. You wrote that you want
to add additional fields and information to the Contacts-address-book.
There is only one properties screen of the address-book.The one you open by
right-clicking the addressee in the mail message. ( As you described)

unfortunately, since you can't see the image of the dialog, I'll have to
try to explain it...

You're referring to the Contacts dialog which is obtained by double
clicking a record in the contacts
window.

I'm referring to the actual Exchange Address book, not the contacts
stored locally.

In the event that the person is not in our exchange server address book,
I still get the same
dialog, and it is nothing like the Contacts form.

hope that helps a bit...

Hi,
I am affraid that we are not on the same frequence.
From the very first question you posted, I understood that you like to
modify the address book you reach by rightclicking the name in the TO: line
of a message.
There are the CONTACTS \ PERSONEL \ and OUTLOOK ADDRESS BOOKS.
All are linked to the a detailed data-base which you can modify and add to
it as you
like.According to your respont, you mean a different address book. How do you
open it? Where is it located?
Regards
DAVE.
