Modify Context Menu of Reading Pane - Outlook 2007

Does anyone have any idea how to modify the context menu of the reading
pane--that is, the area of the Outlook screen where you read the message. I
would to invoke a third party telephony application after the user highlights
a phone number. All is see now in the menu is Copy |Who Is | Synonyms and
Translate.

I searched the registry too. Thought it might be like Internet Explorer but
is not.

I have implemented the
ApplicationEvents_11_ItemContextMenuDisplayEventHandler with success, but
this is not what I am trying to do.

Thank you for consideration.

That menu is not exposed to developers, and I've seen no reports of using
Windows API to hack it.

Have you considered implementing a smart tag with a recognizer for phone
numbers?

Sue,

Thank you for your reply. That is exactly what I ended up doing. Works
really well!
