modify the report and save it a as a file

Hi All,

we have one ordermanagement program in which we generate a report - purchase
order which is printed and faxed to suppliers. in Some case after the PO is
generated, we wish to make some minor modifications in its content and then
fax to supplier.

is it possible that we modify the generated report and then save it as a
file (because we wish to keep record of every PO generated from the system.

Any clue to this problem will be highly appreciated.
