modifying distribution list for current email only--how?

Dustin

I have a distribution list. Currently I use it to forward incoming
email I receive to all the people on the list. However, occasionally
I'll receive email with others on the distribution list already copied
on it. So to avoid forwarding email to those individuals, I'd like to
crop their addresses from the distribution list and only send it to
those who haven't seen it already. I don't mind doing this by hand,
but the problem is, the only way to do it by hand is to modify the
distribution list permanently, forward the email to the distribution
list, and then go back and re-add everyone I deleted before sending
the email.

This is a real pain. I would like to modify the distribution list on
a per-message basis. In other words, I have a permanent distribution
list. Someone sends me email. When I go to forward the email, it
would be nice if, in the To: field, I could expand the distribution
list to show all the email addresses, and then I could just go through
and delete certain addresses. In this way, I would not be modifying
the distribution list, but only modifying the people receiving the
email.

A good example of the ideal behavior can be found if you use the
calendar scheduling feature of outlook. If you add a distribution
list to an Outlook meeting, you can expand the distribution list and
crop out certain names. But for some reason this same behavior is not
available in the email portion of Outlook.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Dustin
