Month View

I prefer to have calendar stay in Month View which it has in the past but I think one of the recent updates broke it. I can select Month view and while I move between Email and Contacts and back to Month view it stays in Month view. But if I quit Entourage and reopen it defaults back to week view. I don't recollect it doing that in older versions. If I selected Month view it stayed that way regardless of the circumstances unless I picked some other view. Anyone else have the same issue? Fix?

So no one has experienced this? Have you tried shutting Entourage down and restarting does your version 12.2.1 stay on the monthly view?

I don't know the answer to your problem but my 12.2.1 version of
Entourage keeps its calendar view set to Month between launches.

Possibly, you may need to verify and repair your Database by holding the
Option key down as you launch Entourage.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the reply Bill,

I did do the above, it offered Verify, Compact, Rebuild and set data base preferences. I selected Verify and it came back that the data base was fine not offer to repair obviously.

I have 2 machines. An iMac 9.1 and a MacBook Air and the month issue happens on both of them. When Entourage is closed and reopened and Calendar is selected it shows in Week view even though it was closed in month view. Seems weird that both machines would have the same issue.

Bill,

I finally broke down and called MSFT support and spent my last credit for support. The fix which was for corrupt preferences was as follows:

From the Finder Menu Line, Click on Go, then Home
Click on Library, locate Microsoft Folder and delete
Then locate all plist items with Entourage in their name and also delete
Reboot
Open Entourage
Set Calendar to Monthly (or preferred view)
Close Entourage
Open, click calendar should be same as previous selection.
Empty Trash

It worked. Great!

Why it broke???

Priceless....
