One of my customers is now unable to open files within outlook, the silly
thing coming up with some half-baked security rational but still it will
allow him to save the file to disk. This is nothing to do with the level one
remove nonsense, Well not that I can see as I have added most things there as
allowable and now at least it gives you the option to see and save the
documents.
Not only is it an inconvenience having to do this but it is no more secure
and fills the clients hard disk with attachments that have no need to be
there. This is outlook 2000 sp3 attaching to an exchange 5.5 box but clearly
it is not an exchange issue as no one else is reporting the problem.
It is ridiculous things like this that prevent people from trusting
automatic updates from microsoft.
Is there a way to undo the damage caused by this 'security patch' and
allow my customer to open attachments from within the program, which is what
he wants to do?
Many Thanks
