More FP 2000 & IE FTP errors after SP update

Hi,

I installed the M/S recommended Office XP Service Packs and now receive FTP
Folder Errors when I try to use IE or FP 2000 to access the folder or update
the site on the server. I searched this group and tried adding the host site
to the "Trusted" list and made sure "Automatic Login with current username
and password" was checked as suggested, but nothing changed. Help!

How are you trying to access the web site in IE or FP
- you can not access a folder - only the web

I used the "Publish" button in FP and the "Open" button in IE. In both cases
the URL was the FTP of the hosting site. After entering my userid and
password in the signin dialog box I was told "Windows cannot access this
folder"

The complete error message is as follows:
FTP FOLDER ERROR
Windows cannot access this folder. Make sure you typed the file name
correctly and that you have permission to access the folder
DETAILS:
The FTP session was terminated

It seems Windows is looking for folder permission even though I am trying to
log on directly to the FTP site. I have logged on to this site for years.
Very frustrating.

Suggest you post to the Windows or IE newsgroup as this no really a FP issue, since FP can not open
a site on a FTP server for editing, etc., only publishing.
