More info. on Access?

I was unvoluntarily charged with finding an application to manage and store
data for a very small rural museum. They wanted interoperability with
MSOffice email etc. They want to store names, email addresses, and inventory.
I really don't know anything about MSAccess and hoped someone could tell me
if it can do this for them. The web page for Access isn't a very good seller
as I couldn't find any clear information about what it actually does. I'm not
getting paid to install this software or anything. Can anyone help?

ACCESS is a relational database system that can store and handle the types
of data that you mention. If you've not used it before, it's a steep
learning curve to be able to make it work smoothly and with great
functionality.

Aaron, I've built two such databases for local historical museums.
Contact me by EMail; I've got an interest in supporting such
organizations and should be able to adapt one of the databases I've
created for your use. As the others have said, this is just the kind
of thing Access is designed to do, but it would be a pretty big chore
if you're not already familiar with the program.
