More than 2 place holders in Title Slide Master

The default title slide master provides a Title place holder and a Subtitle
placeholder. How do I create a third?

If I copy one of the others, the copy behaves differently from the other
two. WHat attributes do I need to change and how?

Hugh,
If you are using PPT 2003 or lower, you can't add placeholders to either the
slide master or the title master, i'm afraid. Starting with PPT 2007 this
has changed. You now can add new slide layouts and change existing ones. Add
placeholders and such. It is one of the reasons to update. But I guess that
is no consolation to you.

Hi Luc,

I'm using PPT 2007. I'm trying to set up a Slide Master with a Title page
which includes the standard Title and Subtitle placeholders, but I want to
add an additional "Project" placeholder, to which I want to add the
instruction, "Click to edit Project Name".

I can add a place holder to the Slide Master but, once the Slide Master View
is closed, I can see the text prompt but cannot edit it.

Hi Steve,

That works! (Once I'd reapplied the layout to the existing page!)

Thanks very much
