More visible FIND highlight

When using the Find function in a large database, the information is
found but because the Find highlighting is so subdued, you still have to
search a whole screen. I've tried find and excel preferences but cannot
find any means of making the find highlight or colour stronger so that
it stands out in the page. Appreciate suggestions, it's sending me
blind.

I look at the name box (to the left of the formula bar) to get the address of
the activecell.

You could hit the Fill icon button to change the color (then undo to put it
back)?

You can make this using in excel 2002 the Replace funcion.
So when you can find the value in your exel sheet you can
change the format of Patterns.

Now the procedure:
1. press Edit
2. Press Find or Replace, and select the Replace function
3. In the "Find What" enter your value
4. in "Replace with" leave blanks and select Format, after
Pattern example yellow.
5. Now Replace all

It's a good suggestion as for my job!!
Bye
