I have a Dell Dimension 2400. I have my computer set up to receive the
automatic Microsoft updates. About 4 weeks ago, while performing a Service
Pack 3 update, I received a dialog box stating I needed to insert the
Microsoft Office XP Professional with FrontPage disc? I do not know what
this is nor do I have it (my computer came installed from Dell). Now, just
yesterday, I am unable to access my excel files! What is going on?! I am
not very computer literate. Any suggestions?

You need to find the Office XP installation CD
that was used to install Office XP on your Dell PC.
Look in the small box that shipped with your Dell
PC for the CD.

Thanks, Carey. Unfortunately, I've moved and in the process I've somehow
lost the CD. I spoke with some 'computer guy' and he thought it sounded like
I may have some type of corruption in my computer? Is that a possibility?

thanks Anne. I've never had to insert a CD before when performing a
Microsoft update. is this not out-of-the-ordinary? thanks.

It's not out of the ordinary to have to insert the installation CDs when
performing an update.
