mortgage Loan amortization schedules

Hi all.
Last night I stumbled across the loan amortization schedule that comes with
office.
In tinkering with it I changed the amount of extra payments that I wanted,
and the length of time, etc....
However, I found that as I "toyed" with the values, it would stop short of
going all the way out to the end of the loan. I.e., some payment sizes, and
periods I chose would stop well short of the complete loan total leaving me
with a $150K balance.
This pretty much told me that I needed to shorten my time period, and I
didn't want to do that-- this is an experiment in better understanding my
finances, and the affect of my mortgage.
In order to see if I could remedy that, I found that the sheet was locked,
and I was unable to expand it out far enough to answer my questions.
This has resulted in my looking in help-- found nothing but template
offerings, none of which met my exact need.
I also downloaded a number of the templates, and while they are really good,
they too are limited. The one's from the Template Zone out of Cambridge,
Mass., are the most manipulable.
So, my question is:
I'd like to make a completely modifiable mortgage amoritization shedule that
has all the necessary fields:
Monthly, bi-weekly (and yes even weekly, and daily-- as I said, I'm
experimenting), extra payments, with the standard stuff seen on the templates
made by others.
Are there any templates that someone has already made, with "everything"
that I'd like, and if not-- no problem, I'm not afraid of making my own, I
just need some direction.
Thank you for your time, and responsiveness, as always, in advance.
Best,
SteveB.
