MOSS 2007:re-using webparts across a site collection and between s

I’m wondering how to re-use a web part created e.g. in a sub site on the site
collection portal or on other sub sites in the same site collection...as I
see it now the only web parts appearing on the available list is from lists I
have already created on the same sub site?

Hoping you can help me out with this!

Hi Jim,

You may want to use the link below for the Sharepoint design discussion group. While focused primarily on the MS Office Sharepoint
Designer product the folks there may be able to help with other methods as well for customization.
