Most times I run Microsoft Excel 2003 Professional, Windows Installerruns first

Most times I open Microsoft Excel 2003 Pro, I first get a small window
popup that Windows Installer, preparing to install. Then another
window says Please wait while windows configures microsoft office
professional edition 2003. About 30-60 seconds late, the application
loads
fine. Is their any way I can find out why this is happening? According
to the MS office website, my application is up to date, including SP3.
I think if I didn't have the MS office install files installed on my
machine, it would be asking me for a CD. So since I have the install
files on the machine, I dont get the error popup that is causing the
installer to run. By the way all other MS office applications run fine
without this problem
I would appreciate any advice.
Thanks

Try:

Start button --> RUN -->

reg add HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Word\Options /v NoReReg /t
REG_DWORD /d 1

--> OK

Reboot.

Doesn't work?

You may want to try to REPAIR the installation of Office.

Recheck for updates afterwards.
