Mouse Pointer and timing

Is there a way to speed up the mouse pointer? because after my first slide
plays it takes awhile to get the mouse pointer.

If you go
slideshow>"set up" your presentation to "kiosk" mode from "presenter mode"
then the pointer will always be visible.
