mouse pointer color in WORD

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Processor: Intel Somewhere along the line, my moue pointer changed to light blue whenever I'm in a WORD document. It's black everywhere else, but switches as soon as it crosses the edge and changes shape. (the blinking cursor is still black) Any clues?

This is a new one on me :) By "everywhere else" do you mean in other
programs? If not, see what happens in TextEdit or other software.

There are no controls in Word for changing the pointer/cursor color, nor do
I know of any in OS X System Preferences either.

Is Office fully updated (12.2.3)? How about OS X (10.5.8)?
