Mouse problem on RDP connection

I have used Visio 2003 & 2007 remotely on terminal servers & direct RDP to XP
Pro computers. In each case, the mouse can be VERY jerky when using certain
tools (text tool, line tool, etc). Then when going back to the pointer tool,
it is smooth again. When jerky, them mouse will jump around, and it just
becomes really frustrating sometimes, and slows down the work. Has anyone
else seen this? I've seen in in multiple companies I've worked for, and would
really like a solution.

If you know how I can fix this, will you please enlighten me?

Thanks a million!!

Sincerely,
-

Hi Doug,

I'm experiencing the same problem with Visio 2003 over remote desktop.

As you described, only certain tools exhibit this problem (getting the mouse
back to the top toolbar can be quite a trial).

I don't believe that this problem is related to general TS performance, as
for me:

(1) it is entirely dependent on the tool selected
(2) it occurs whether there are thirty users on TS in the middle of the day,
or if I'm the only one on in the evening.

I can't find many references to this problem on the around on the web,
though there is a report of issues over Citrix - which curiously states that
the issue doesn't occur over RDP.

Hello,

I am also having the same issues as you've mention in this stream. We
have Visio 2007 Professional edition published on a Citrix Server (MPS 4.5)
that also does the same thing. When I sue the pointer it has no issue, but
as soon as I select the "connector Tool" it begins to flash and jump on the
screen as I move the mouse. Has anyone figured out a way to fix this ?
