Mouse text selection stops working

Im having this problem everyday.
Working with Excel or Word documents, switch to Outlook and read some email,
when i return to the document, the mouse selection over the text area doesn´t
work any more. Im still able to use the mouse to click over the menu, or
scroll the page, but i can´t move the pointer over the text area or perform
text selections.
The text editing operations still work only by keyboard but not with the
mouse.

The only solution is to restart the application (Word, Excel), and dont
switch to any other application during the edition.

Im using Office 2007 and Windows XP Professional w/SP3.

Im correcting.
It only happens when working with Word.
