mouse wheel needs vertical scroll bar?

Dear all,

In a subform, the wheel mouse works fine, until I set the subform
property 'scroll bars' to 'neither'. From then on, the wheel mouse no
longer functions in the subform and I need to use the pgup and pgdn
keys to browse to go forth and back between the subform records.

(windows xp sp2, access 2002 sp2)

Thanks in advance for any helpful tips.
