mov conversion

I'm looking for a way to convert a .mov file to an .avi
file for inserting in a PowerPoint XP presentation. I've
tried Quicktime Pro 6.0 and a freeware program called
radtools, but neither of them seems to be able to convert
the audio track. I seem to recall Quicktime even hung
while trying to convert.

Has anyone used other conversion programs, or used
another technique to work with .mov files in PowerPoint?
Thanks.
