move autocorrect file

I am trying to move my autocorrect file from my old computer (win98) to my
new computer (WinXP). I have done this before by moving the mso1033 file,
but for some reason it is not working. There are several mso or mso1033
files in the new computer and I tried replacing each one. I can see my
entries inside the gibberish that comes up when I open each one, but the
entries are not coming up in Word. I am using MS Office 2000.

THANKS so much. I went to that site and there was a macro written that
backed them up on one computer and restored them on another. Amazing!!! I
wish I had this a few months back when trying to help a friend.
