I want to save a office document on a flash drive and be able to retrieve
it.
Save it to the hard drive first and then use Windows Explorer to copy to the
flash drive. This is the only safe way to ensure that the file is created
and copied correctly. As flash drives have a finite read and write
lifecycle (which can be different for each drive in a manufacturing run)
they can be unreliable when writing directly to them to store data from a
program.
Always copy a file to the hard drive, edit and save to the hard drive and
then save back to the flash drive to ensure data integrity.
