Move objects in Powerpoint

I would like to be able to move a jpeg around a PowerPoint slide with
the mouse. I know it is possioble to do this because I have seen it
done, but cannot find out how to do it.

Thanks in advance for any tips.

I don't know if this technique will work on a Mac, but it works in
