move unc table location

Nick

Hello. I am having trouble moving some tables that have been hardcoded as
follows :

Export List (\\CRXData\ISO9000\ACData.mdb)

We need to move the database but cannot move the tables as they are linked
to that particular path. Any suggestions as to how we can resolve this
issue?

Thanks in advance,

Nick C.

Hi Nick,

Presumably there's some reason you're not using the Linked Table
Manager, but without more information I can't guess what it might be.

The concept is mind-boggling!
But then again, I don't know that much about Access.Net!

Seriously, I doubt anyone has any idea what you are talking about.
I know questions should be concise but I think a bit more is required
here.

The code statement you include is not a VBA statement, so what is it?
Why can't it be changed to reflect the required database location?
What do you mean by :
'We need to move the database but cannot move the tables '

Ah- I see: you read the original as the poster wanting to move the
front-end and leave the backend where it is. Makes sense that way.
I couldn't grasp the idea of the tables not being in 'the database'. In
my closed world the tables ARE the database.

Not so much "read" as "postulated"<g>.
