Movie Clip Problem

Every time i try to play a movie clip in a power point
presentation, the error report message appears and i have
tp close the program, the movie clip i am trying to use is
MPEG format is this the cause, do i need to encode the
movie file to another format???

and help would be GREAT

Where did the mpeg clip come from. e.g. What software created it

Without knowing the source of the mpeg file all I can do is make a guess
that it doesn't follow the standard. Can you tell us its origin?
