Movie Clips in Powerpoint

I am using Powerpoint in Office 2000 running under Windows
2000 professional.
When I insert a movie clip, I get the sound, but no video
appears.
Instead there is a message saying:
video not available, cannot find 'vidsmjpg' decompressor

Can you help?

Sounds like your system doesn't have the needed codec installed. See the
info at http://www.soniacoleman.com/Tutorials/PowerPoint/multimedia.htm to
understand all of the gibberish related to how PowerPoint plays multimedia.
