I have some videos in Portrait format. When I import them in MM it reshapes
them to a landscape. As a result camels crawl like caterpillars. Is there a
way to do for all frames of the video what I do for stills with Photoshop,
i.e. resize the canvas under the picture so that a portrait picture will sit
withing a landscape canvas and the picture will not be distorted.

I found my own answer. With VirtualDub it is possible to apply a "fill"
filter to resize a PORTRAIT picture to a LANDSCAPE rectangle of same height
and fill in the blanks right and left with whatever color. Really nifty!
