movies and sound in PowerPoint

In version 2000 I had a powerpoint file where I had inserted movies and sound
avi files. When I upgraded to 2003 and click the inserted movie file to play
it disappeared. I reinserted the avi files just like I have always done but
the same thing happens.

What is wrong.?
