Movies not always working using PPT 2007

Hello Everyone,

I have been asked this question...I hope you can help.

"When we insert a few movies into PowerPoint presentations we have noticed
that when the presentation and related embedded files are saved onto the desk
top, or onto a USB stick the power point, movie and embedded files all work.

However, when we save onto the network the movies and embedded files do not
work.

My question is: To have a movie work within a PowerPoint presentation is
there a maximum number of "file paths" it can go through before it won't
work?"

Thank you in advance.

Hello,
Not all inserted files in PowerPoint are embedded. The difference
between linked and embedded, please view:

If you want to save your presentation onto network, a direct way is
packing the movies and presentation, here are the steps:
1. Put the movie files and the PowerPoint presentation in a same
folder.
2. Reinsert these files to PowerPoint presentation. Then package the
folder and then upload to network.

At the sametime, converting your presentation to flash movie (http://
sn.im/t6zj6 ) or video will be a good way to share your presentation
online for others to view.
