I would like to add a movie to an Access 2000 form with the intention of
creating a multimedia experience for the user. Can you please direct me to a
resource that discusses this or provide other information

Windows Media Player ActiveX control ? have a look at the download
section of Microsoft web site, for the Media Player SDK (and documentation).
I have NOT tried it myself.
