Moving 2007 to a different hard drive

To free up space on my older laptop, I moved Office 2007 to a portable hard
drive. I don't know how to access the programs now. Any help out there?

You would have needed to uninstall Office 2007 then custom install to the
new location.
So how did you move office?

$10 says he cut the Office folder and pasted it to the other drive. This is
why people should be given an IQ & common sense test before being allowed to
buy a computer.

I'll decline that certainty

To solve your problem and get back to using Office, copy the files back to
the exact same location on the computer's hard drive. You can NOT install
the program files in any manner on a portable (USB or Firewire) hard drive
and have it work. Microsoft does not allow this to occur to prevent
transporting programs from machine to machine (among other reasons.) The
installation program installs links to files in the operating system's
registry and as soon as you specify an external (portable) device the
installation will fail.
