Moving Connector OST files

I've moved my Outlook 2007 PST and OST files to another disk drive to
make it easier to backup and dual boot. However, I don't see any obvious way
to move the Outlook Connector OST file. I've searched on Google and through
this newsgroup and can't find any method for doing this.
Is it actualy possible to move the Connector OST file to a non-default
location? Thanks.

You don't need to. All the ost file does is replicate what's on the
server.....so if it gets deleted, the Connector will just rebuild it the
next time you connect...

Thanks, but my problem is with dual booting. I have four partitions on my
hard drive which are all mutually hidden from one another (using System
Commander). I have multiple copies of Vista and am beta testing other OSes.
Whenever I run Outlook 2007 on another partition, Outlook Connector has to
do a resync of my folders, which loses all of my layout settings for the
Connector folders. I'd really like to have the OST file on another hard
drive, where I store my Outlook PST and OST files.

Please tell us the version of the application you are asking about,
your OS, Service Pack level
and the FULL contents of any error message(s)

Really what is being asked here, is WHY does outlook connector ONLY allow
for .ost file creation in the default user directory. My specific problem is
I bought a netbook with a small SSD drive, and even it Outlook Connector only
downloads the headers from my 500MB hotmail acount, it's still way too big
and chokes the free space on C: Drive. A registry hack or an option for
relocation of .ost files inside connector (like relocating a .pst in outlook)
would be very helpful for those who, for whatever reason, need to move the
..ost to a location other than the default user profile. Just my 2c, anyway -
other than that OC is great!
