Outlook email, contacts, etc. can be exported and imported as .pst

Never export/import PSTs if you can avoid it. You don't export/import DOC
files with Word, do you? Of course not, because DOC files are Word's native
format. Just so, PST files are Outlook's native format and File>Open works
just fine for them, just like File>Open for DOC files works in Word.
On your old computer you click File/Import and Export. Export your
Inbox and Contacts to .pst files on a floppy disk. On your new
computer Import the .pst files from the floppy disk to your new
Outlook.
No. You simply COPY your old PST (by whatever means you choose) from the
old PC to the new and use File>Open in Outlook to open it. What could be
simpler?
