In Word the default template location is changed by clicking on the Office
button. Click Word Options, Advanced, scroll all the way to the bottom and
click File Locations. Click User Templates and then Modify. A file
management window will open. Select where you have placed the Word
templates. For network templates the Workgroup templates is changed the
same way.
Haven't found out how to change Excel, PPT templates yet. I do know that
you can create an Excel template and put it anywhere on the system and have
the create from new find it but you have to drill down to that location.
